The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) recently issued a renewed advisory highlighting the persistent dangers of fraudulent offshore gambling websites that masquerade as licensed operators. In the aftermath of the POGO suspension, the agency has recognized an alarming uptick in illegal online gambling platforms. A recent statement identified 11 deceptive websites, including efesbetcasino514.com and Kratosbet.com, which falsely claim PAGCOR endorsement. These sites have gone as far as to misuse the agency’s logo and fabricate licensing documentation to gain public trust.
According to Alejandro Tengco, PAGCOR’s chairman and CEO, the misuse of the agency’s identity is not just a violation of law but also a serious threat to public safety. "These platforms are unauthorized and jeopardize the integrity of legitimate gaming operations," he stated, urging citizens to remain alert against these scams.

The Philippines’ decision to outlaw POGOs during the summer of 2024 was largely influenced by concerns over organized crime associations with these operations. Jessa Fernandez, head of the Offshore Gaming and Licensing Department, underscored the importance of discerning genuine operations from fraudulent ones. "Any engagement based on fake licenses is fraudulent and puts individuals at risk,” she cautioned.
