Gaming Realms Anticipates 18% Revenue Growth in H1

Gaming Realms Anticipates Strong Growth in Early 2025

Gaming Realms, a prominent player in the iGaming sector, has issued an optimistic trading update for the first half of its financial year 2025, projecting an impressive 18% jump in revenue compared to the same period last year.

For the half-year ending June 30, the company expects to report revenues of £16 million (approximately $21.3 million), a notable increase from last year’s figures of £13.6 million. This positive trend is further complemented by a forecasted adjusted EBITDA of £7.5 million for the same period, representing a substantial 30% rise year-on-year.

The company attributes this projected growth to the ongoing success of its licensing operations and strategic international market expansion. A highlight of this period includes the launch of six new Slingo game titles and the establishment of 19 new distribution partnerships.

Continued Success Expected in H2

Gaming Realms is not only satisfied with its current results but is also maintaining its positive outlook for the remainder of 2025. CEO Mark Segal expressed enthusiasm about the robust performance in H1, emphasizing the steady growth within the licensing sector and the effective implementation of the company’s expansion strategy.

"We are excited about our achievements in the first half of 2025," Segal stated. "The ongoing growth of our core licensing business and our strategic initiatives have yielded remarkable outcomes. We are keen to build upon this momentum in the second half of the year."

The company plans to release a detailed report on its H1 results the week of September 22.

Recovery After a Challenging 2024

This forecasted growth comes on the heels of what Segal referred to as a “strange” 2024. During discussions following the release of the full-year results, he noted the challenges posed by declines from two major UK operator clients, although Gaming Realms was able to maintain its market share.

He also highlighted potential impacts arising from new regulations on online slot stakes in the UK, which came into effect on May 21. These changes, imposing limits of £5 for general players and £2 for those aged 18-24, may influence the company’s performance, though the full effects are still uncertain given the timing of the regulations.

In 2024, Gaming Realms reported a 22% increase in revenue to £28.5 million, with group EBITDA rising by 25% to £12.3 million.

Overall, as Gaming Realms positions itself for sustained success, the upcoming months will be pivotal in determining the full impact of market dynamics and regulatory changes on the company’s future trajectories.
