Weekly Update: Key Developments from PTSB, Stake, and EveryMatrix

Welcome to this week’s edition of our Weekend Roundup, where we highlight some of the significant stories you may have missed recently. In focus this week: PTSB rolls out a new in-app gambling block feature, Stake partners with esports power Team Vitality, and SIS unveils a revamped competitive gaming leadership team.

PTSB Introduces In-App Gambling Blocking Feature

Irish bank PTSB has made a notable move by integrating a voluntary gambling blocking option into its mobile application. This innovative feature allows customers to restrict debit and credit card transactions related to gambling activities through the PTSB app. It encompasses various platforms including sports betting, online casinos, poker, and lottery websites.

For those who decide to disable the block, there’s a 48-hour cooling-off period before gambling transactions can be made again. By implementing this feature, PTSB joins other institutions like Bank of Ireland and AIB in promoting responsible gambling among its clientele.

Stake Partners with Team Vitality

Stake, an established operator in the betting and gaming sector, has forged a multi-year collaboration with Team Vitality, a leading global esports organization. As part of this partnership, Stake has secured its position as the official international partner of Team Vitality’s CS2 team, which includes branding on players’ apparel during contests.

Beyond basic sponsorship, the partnership will also yield exclusive content and various engaging activities, notably at the forthcoming IEM Cologne event scheduled for August 1-3. Stake’s involvement in esports adds to its existing array of commercial partnerships across sports such as football, MMA, and Formula 1.

SIS Unveils New Leadership for Competitive Gaming

Sports Information Services (SIS) has announced a restructured leadership team focused on competitive gaming. Peter Camden will head the competitive gaming product, while Stephen Maguire takes on the role of head of competitive gaming operations, and Aaron St Pierre becomes head of sports trading.

With nearly a decade of experience at SIS, Camden, Maguire, and St Pierre have been pivotal in enhancing the company’s competitive gaming offerings for their extensive international client base. COO Andy Purkiss emphasized their critical role in driving SIS’s growing market presence.

EveryMatrix Launches CasinoEngine in North America

EveryMatrix has achieved a significant milestone with the first launch of its CasinoEngine platform in North America, partnering with Pinnacle. Ontario will be the initial market to leverage this technology, expanding on their existing global collaboration.

As part of the rollout, the BonusEngine—capable of providing various bonusing options and an AI-driven solution to counter bonus abuse—will be integrated in the second phase. CEO Stian Enger Petersen hailed this launch as a significant step for EveryMatrix within the North American landscape.

Realistic Games Expands Presence in the UK

Realistic Games has further enhanced its presence in the UK market by entering new partnerships with LiveScore Bet and Virgin Bet. Players at both platforms will gain access to over 20 exciting titles, including popular games like Book of Charms, Chicken Or The Egg, and Hit the Top.

With its games already available at major operators such as William Hill and Flutter, Realistic Games aims to offer a diverse and engaging experience to every partner, according to account manager Marcela Nadin.
